I just realised I haven't blogged ever since the start of the year. Shows how busy I am huh?!
The past one and a half month has been alright for me. More dreading of booking-in on Sundays, more physical training, more exams. But nothing will be as tough as what I am going to embark on in two days time. The leadership phase of the training. Many say it will be a difficult time and probably the toughest part of the 10 months. Just 6 weeks, 3 weeks local, 3 weeks Nepal.
Sorry to friends who would like to meet up. I can only book out on Saturday afternoons in the next 3 weeks and I still have to book in on Sunday nights. Argh... Only have about 30 hours out of camp per week. Gotta suck...
But anyway, I'll be in Nepal from 12th to 30th March. Would be totally uncontactable during that time. It's gonna be my first experience climbing a mountain and trekking 2000m above sea level. Excited, but worried. Many of my friends got diarrheoa and vomited, fell sick. Please do pray for me. I truly believe I need it.
See you guys after 30th March!

Once again, it's the end of the year. In about 25 hours time, people will start switching their calendars which has 2011 splashed across the front page, to those lined with 2012.
It has been a year with pretty little ups and downs I would say. One which I would fondly remember for the rest of my life as many major events splashed through the year.
Firstly, it was my final semester as an undergraduate in NTU. Thanks to my stupid idea of wanting to do a mini-FYP, I finally got a true feel of what it was like to be a scientist (and a slave of somebody...). Although I didn't enjoy it as much as I would have liked to, I am still thankful for the opportunity and the resilience I built up throughout my FYP period. I also got to know some coursemates better, especially my long time friend (since pri sch), Ann Gomez and other FYP mates. Thanks guys! We endured together and we made it to the finish line! :)
The lab I was working in for 4 months
The final presentation
And then, of course, the moment that we had been waiting for ever since the start of our course, GRADUATION! Really glad my family finally took a photo studio shot. :) And of course, Convocation was the final gathering of the friends and coursemates we have made during our uni years... Everybody seemed grown up, seemed changed.... seemed more ready for the harsh realities that the world has to offer....
Studio shot with family :)
Who would forget the wonder grad trips??!! Truly the best time of my year!
After 10 years of knowing each other, the Kampong Buddies made a wonderfully fantastic trip to Sydney and Melbourne, Australia! You guys truly rock my life! :)
The jiemeis also made a exceptionally amazing trip to Taiwan!!! You guys rock my life as well!!! :)
The Jiemeis!
Taipei 101 which we didn't go up...
How I wish June would never come to an end. But obviously it did. I still remember all the crazy worrying and anxiety about not being able to find a job and what nots... All the crazy job search, sending out resumes to numerous companies... In the end, 3 replied, 3 offered and I took up one of it. There was The Learning Lab, Sime Darby and SPF, and the choice was obvious for me, though I did really really struggle with the last two.... Hopefully, my choice was the right one. Only time will tell....
2011 was truly a time of transition... From student to employee... from young adult to adult... from child-likeness to maturity... from foolish to sensible.... From long hair to short! All these in a year. A year which I will never forget.
May 2012 bring along with it lots of joy and laughter! And I just pray that I will be able to survive and live to enjoy the process! Cheers to all! :):)

I always enjoy having food with friends, not just an opportunity for eating, but a great time for true blue catching up and heart-to-heart talks... Even when we make tons of noise in the restaurant, we're still not embarrassed and have the best time of our lives... :)
Thanks to all my friends! :) Love all you guys!
(And hopefully we don't make too much noise at Adeline's sister's wedding. ;P)
and a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BELOVED DAD (aka peeps!)!!!!
Sunday nights are usually nights which are dreaded by me, because it's usually book-in night!
But tonight, I get to spend it at home! And the feeling is AWESOME!
You never really know how precious certain days are until you lose it. My weekday nights are all spent within the four walls of the academy... And I never really felt how important the time spent at home on weeknights were!
Ah, can finally sleep on my own bed for 2 weeks straight! :)
Attachments, here I come! Hopefully, it's exciting!
It's been more than a month since I've been in the force....
Interesting 5 weeks it has been. We're forbidden from blogging or mentioning too much about what lies within the walls of this organisation. Apparently, they have someone who just checks Facebook and any other websites of employees.... Scary huh?!
Anyway, glad to have this short break after our first ever deployment. It was tough to keep awake throughout the entire counting period! But we survived!
